In most Arab countries, bukhoor is the name given to scented bricks. These scented chips/bricks are burned in incense burners to perfume the home and clothing with a rich thick smoke. This is used specifically on special occasions like weddings or on Fridays or generally just to perfume the house.
The bukhoor is usually burned in a traditional incense burner (you can pruchase incence burner from our page). It is customary in many Arab countries to pass bukhoor amongst the guests. This is done as a gesture of hospitality. If you visit an arabian country you can find this custom for example into the very luxurious hotel or simply you can smell this scent on the streets of this exotic countries.
Bukhoor is very popular to remove the most bad odors like fish after it is cooked inside the house.
Also bukhoor is well known as a purifier from negative energies and bad spirits.
